Cleanroom Terminal Filtration

HEPA Terminal Box for Cleanroom Ceiling Air Supply

Biogreen HEPA terminal boxes form the final connection between a cleanroom air-supply duct and the room-side HEPA filtration point. Standard and gel-seal configurations are available for 500, 1000 and 1500 m³/h air volume, with top or side air inlet arrangements to suit different ceiling and duct layouts.

Two HEPA Terminal Box Configurations for Different Cleanroom Requirements

Choose the terminal housing by filter sealing method, available ceiling space, duct direction and project testing requirements. Both product families are offered in 500, 1000 and 1500 m³/h rated airflow classes.

Standard HEPA Terminal Box

Standard HEPA Terminal Box

For conventional cleanroom terminal filtration using 90 mm or 220 mm filter depths. Side-inlet and top-inlet housings are available, with diffuser sizes from 430×430 mm to 740×740 mm.

Gel-Seal HEPA Terminal Box

Gel-Seal HEPA Terminal Box

For projects using a gel-seal filter-to-housing interface. The uploaded product structure includes dedicated DOP injection and sampling access, with 90 mm or 95 mm filter depths and diffuser sizes from 555×555×15 mm to 785×785×15 mm.

What Is a HEPA Terminal Box?

A HEPA terminal box is the final air-supply assembly installed between a cleanroom HVAC duct and the controlled room. The housing creates a stable plenum for the HEPA filter, provides the filter-to-box sealing interface and supports the room-side diffuser. Conditioned air enters the terminal filter box from the top or side, passes through the selected HEPA filter and is then distributed into the cleanroom through the diffuser plate. Because airflow, filter size, housing depth, duct connection and ceiling opening work as one system, they should be selected together rather than treated as separate components.

Inside the HEPA Filter Terminal Box

The terminal assembly is built around four coordinated components: the room-side diffuser, the selected HEPA filter, the terminal housing and the airflow regulating damper. The gel-seal version adds a filter sealing interface designed for the corresponding gel-seal filter configuration.

Inside the HEPA Filter Terminal Box

01 Diffuser Plate

Distributes filtered supply air into the cleanroom and completes the room-side ceiling finish.

02 HEPA Filter

Selected by filter dimensions, depth, sealing method and project requirement.

03 Terminal Housing

Connects the branch duct to the final filter and provides the structural plenum.

04 Regulating Damper

Supports terminal airflow adjustment during balancing where included in the selected configuration.

Select the HEPA Terminal Box by Rated Airflow

Start with the project design airflow, then verify filter size, housing dimensions, duct connection and diffuser size against the ceiling layout.

500 m³/h

Compact terminal class for smaller supply points. Standard filter sizes include 320×320 mm; gel-seal filter sizes include 400×400 mm.

1000 m³/h

Mid-range terminal class for general cleanroom supply points. Standard filter size: 484×484 mm. Gel-seal filter size: 550×550 mm.

1500 m³/h

Higher-airflow terminal class for larger supply points. Standard and gel-seal product families both include 630×630 mm filter-size options.

Standard HEPA Terminal Box Configurations

The standard product family supports both frameless and separator-style HEPA filter assemblies shown in the manufacturer reference. Side-inlet and top-inlet housings can be selected according to duct routing and available ceiling void, while 90 mm and 220 mm filter-depth series provide two housing-depth groups.

Frameless HEPA Configuration

A compact filter format paired with the corresponding terminal housing, diffuser and regulating damper.

90 mm series

Separator HEPA Configuration

A deeper filter configuration paired with the corresponding deeper terminal housing and matching diffuser arrangement.

220 mm series

Top-Inlet vs Side-Inlet HEPA Terminal Box

The air-inlet direction affects terminal-box depth, duct routing and the ceiling-space required above the cleanroom.

Top-Inlet HEPA Terminal Box

The branch duct connects vertically above the terminal housing. Use this layout when the ceiling void allows direct duct access from above and vertical clearance is available.

Side-Inlet HEPA Terminal Box

The branch duct enters horizontally from the side of the housing. This arrangement is useful where ducts run parallel to the cleanroom ceiling or where vertical installation depth is restricted.

How to Select a HEPA Terminal Box

Send the five key inputs below and the closest standard model can be checked before a custom configuration is considered.

01 AIRFLOW

Confirm the required air volume: 500 / 1000 / 1500 m³/h or project-specific.

02 FILTER

Confirm filter size, depth and sealing method.

03 AIR INLET

Choose top or side inlet according to duct routing.

04 CEILING

Confirm ceiling opening and available ceiling void.

05 TESTING

Confirm damper and test-access requirements before fabrication.

HEPA Terminal Box FAQ

A HEPA terminal box is the final air-supply housing that connects a cleanroom branch duct to the HEPA filter and room-side diffuser.

A HEPA terminal box normally receives conditioned air from a centralized HVAC or AHU system. An FFU contains its own fan and filter and can move air independently.

The supplied product data includes 500, 1000 and 1500 m³/h rated airflow classes for both the standard and gel-seal product families.

Choose the inlet direction according to duct routing and available ceiling void. Top inlet uses vertical duct access above the housing; side inlet supports horizontal duct routing.

The standard terminal-box data includes 90 mm and 220 mm filter depths. The gel-seal product data includes 90 mm and 95 mm filter depths.

The supplied gel-seal product structure shows DOP injection and DOP sampling access. Final test requirements should be confirmed for the specific project before fabrication.

Yes. Use the corresponding model row to check housing, filter, duct or damper, diffuser and rated airflow dimensions before confirming the project drawing.
