Automatic Sliding Door Air Shower
$1,180.00
An automatic sliding door air shower supports hands-free or signal-controlled entry where hinged doors are inconvenient for personnel flow, trolleys or automated movement. Sensors and interlock logic can coordinate entry, shower cycle and clean-side release, while the filtration system recirculates cleaned air through adjustable nozzles. Door width, opening speed, safety detection, access-control connection and operating mode must be confirmed for the application. The chamber may be adapted for personnel or material routes. Share the access sequence, traffic type, opening size and any building-management or equipment signal requirements for a customized control proposal.

Automated Cleanroom Access Overview
An automatic sliding door air shower combines a filtered personnel or material cleaning chamber with powered doors and programmable access logic. It is useful where swing doors take up too much space, hands-free movement is preferred, or the air shower must exchange signals with an access-control or production system.
Operating Sequence
A typical sequence begins when the user or trolley is detected and the non-clean-side door opens. After entry, the door closes and the interlock confirms a safe condition. The shower cycle starts automatically, circulating air through pre-filtration and HEPA filtration before high-velocity air exits the nozzles. When the cycle is complete, the clean-side door opens according to the programmed logic. The exact sequence can be modified for one-way entry, two-way traffic or equipment integration.
Control Functions That Can Be Considered
- Presence sensors and automatic cycle start
- Door interlocking and status indication
- Adjustable shower time
- Access-card, password or external permission signal
- Safety sensors to prevent door contact
- Input/output signals for trolley, AGV or production equipment
- Emergency stop and project-defined release behavior
Door and Chamber Selection
| Decision | Project Input |
|---|---|
| Clear door width | User type, trolley width or equipment envelope |
| Door height | Personnel clearance and load height |
| Opening speed | Traffic requirement and safety assessment |
| Chamber length | Occupancy, cycle method and nozzle coverage |
| Control interface | Dry contact, access permission or equipment communication requirement |
| Material | Cleaning frequency, humidity and cleanroom hygiene requirement |
Applications
Automatic door air showers can serve personnel entrances, trolley transfer routes, pharmaceutical clean areas, electronics factories, food-processing entrances and automated logistics points. For material handling, the chamber must be sized around the largest loaded trolley. For personnel use, the door safety and operating prompts should be clear and intuitive.
Installation or Use Notes
Powered doors require stable electrical supply, correct alignment and sufficient maintenance access. Safety sensors and emergency behavior should be agreed during design. If the unit connects to a building management or access system, the signal list must be confirmed before production. The door sequence must also respect cleanroom pressure and traffic rules.
Routine maintenance includes door-track inspection, sensor checks, interlock testing, filter inspection, nozzle cleaning and fan review. The chamber should not be operated with disabled safety devices or forced-open doors.
Related Project Options
Depending on the entrance process, the air shower may be combined with card access, personnel counting, shoe cleaning, hand-hygiene equipment or separate cargo transfer equipment. These additions should be selected from the process risk rather than included automatically.
Request a Control Proposal
Provide the user or cargo type, clear opening, traffic sequence, desired door movement, safety requirement, access-control signals, chamber material, cleanroom application, power supply and destination. A control narrative and layout can then be prepared for approval before manufacturing.
Safety and Acceptance Review
Before shipment, the approved control narrative should identify normal operation, blocked-door response, emergency stop, power-loss behavior and manual service mode. Site acceptance can then verify door movement, sensor response, interlock sequence, cycle timing and airflow against the agreed specification. Any third-party control connection should be tested with the actual signal logic during commissioning.
