Electronic Interlock Pass Box

$560.00

The electronic interlock pass box uses door sensors, electromagnetic locks and a control panel to ensure that only one side can open at a time. It is suited to projects that need status indicators, alarms, timed release or integration with card access. The control package can be paired with a static chamber or a dynamic HEPA-filtered model. Confirm the required sequence, fail-safe behavior, power supply and site interface before production.

Door Control for a Defined Transfer Sequence

An electronic interlock pass box controls the two doors through sensors, locks and a panel. When one door is open, the opposite side remains locked. Compared with a purely mechanical arrangement, electronic control can support status lights, alarms, timed operation and project-specific release logic.

How the Interlock Works

  • Both doors start closed and their status is monitored
  • The sending-side operator opens the available door and loads the chamber
  • Closing the first door is confirmed by the sensor
  • Any required UV or airflow sequence runs according to the control logic
  • The receiving-side door is released only when the conditions are satisfied
  • An alarm can indicate an open door, incomplete closure or control fault

Project Integration Notes

Access-control integration requires more than adding a reader. The team should define who can open each side, what happens during power loss, whether doors remain locked or release, how alarms are reset and which signals are exchanged with the building system. Interface voltage, dry contacts and cable routes should be confirmed on the drawing.

Static or Dynamic?

Choose a static chamber when the connected spaces have similar cleanliness and active air cleaning is unnecessary. Choose a dynamic version when the transfer crosses different cleanliness levels or requires fan-driven HEPA filtration. The electronic interlock can be used on either platform.

Acceptance Checks

  • Door sensors detect open and closed positions
  • Only one door can be released at a time
  • Indicators match the actual door state
  • Alarm and timer logic follow the approved sequence
  • Power-loss behavior matches the agreed design
  • Any airflow or UV interlock performs correctly

Request a Control-Based Quote

Send the chamber size, static or dynamic requirement, door sequence, access-control interface, indicators, alarms, voltage and fail-safe logic. This prevents control assumptions and allows the panel and wiring to be quoted accurately.
